I designed and built this website for my partner Rachael. The minimal interface design makes way for the photographs to take centre stage.
On the technical side it comprises two main parts. The main bulk of the work was the photo viewer, built in ActionScript 3. This is highly dynamic and can show thumbnails, slideshows or both at the same time. The same SWF is being used on this page above, in fact.
The second part is the PHP back end, which automatically finds images in a directory structure, generates thumbnails for them and provides an XML service to drive the Flash component.
